As kids, and if we're being honest, as adults too, we love watching and hearing stories of superheroes - people who have super-human powers and always come in to dramatically save the day from the evil villain. And while that's all well and good to enjoy for entertainment value, and even has some value, we must never forget who the real heroes are.  

The men and women who wear the uniform of our country's military are the true heroes. They put their lives on the line every day to defend our freedom. They are apart from their family and loved ones for months and months at a time. They are the real heroes. And they don't wear capes, they wear dog tags.
